Probably foods that are extremely dense in calories (lots of energy for little volume consumed) and very high in fat. It takes quite a bit of chewing and eating to consume large amounts of calories through carbs and protein, but just one tablespoon of fat has 120-140 calories. While protein and carbs each have about 4 calories per gram, fat has 9 calories per gram!

Some bodybuilders and skinny kids trying to gain weight will add lots of olive to their whole foods and even to protein shakes. It makes foods pretty rich, but it's still easy to get down. You can add about 500 calories to a dish with just 1/4 cup of oil. It sounds like a lot, but when it's spread out over other ingredients, it's easy to add a TON of calories with oil and other fats.
References :
Just larger quantities of the usual treats they normally eat. When you're sleep deprived and constantly exhausted, food is your best friend keeping you alive.
