Difference between eating junk food and eating healthy food?
Okay I’m 14 year old male you exercises regularly, and I’ve got a high motabolism (I burn calories faster then average). So naturally I can eat all the crappiest junk, fatty foods possible and it won’t affect my weight at all.

    Eating healthy food:

    + makes you healthier.
+ less exercise needed to stay fit.
    + harder to become overweight.
+ is satisfying to know you are making a good choice.
    - MOST of it doesn’t taste as good as junk food.
    - fruit can sometimes be more expencive then junk food.
    - much more junk food available which is cheaper and nicer.
    - can become unhappy if you’re forcing yourself to eat stuff that you hate!

    Eating junk food.

    + tastes beautiful and nice.
+ is often cheaper then some fruit.
    + makes you happy!
+ is more available with fast food resteraunts.
    - will make you unfit and possibly overweight/obese.
    - more exercise is needed to stay fit and burn the extra calories you gain.
    - could cause serious health issues in the long run.

Okay, I’m not a super freak on diet (in fact, I know hardly anything about diet and I’m one of the people who don’t eat any vegetables or fruit whatsoever) and so here is the positives and negatives of a teenager. Earlier I asked a question and one of the answers was, "Eat a chocolate mudcake. At least you’ll have a healthier smile." My thanks goes to that person - because it is so true. Eating unhealthy foods doesn’t make you a bad or unhappy person. In fact, eating fatty foods makes you a happier person on the inside =) Go ahead and answer with your opinion on junk food vs healthy food!

well if you are sitting all day long on a sofa (like me) its better to eat healthy food so that you won’t get too much calories. However if you are excercising and more athletik type [like when I was younger(about 5 years)] its is good to eat healthy food but you also have the choice to eat junk food more often.

Don’t think that skinny people are all healthy just cause their skinny,,, you can watch your weight all you want and eat all the crap all you, just remember when you eat sick and the doctor tell you that your cholesterol is height or you have diabetes, don’t ask the doctor why or how or tell him how you workout all the time, cause that wont help, our body is like a car, fill it up with the right gas and the right amount, it’ll run smooth and you’ll loose the weight quick, but as soon as you put sugar in the tank, you’ll see the difference quick and you’ll see how far it’ll take you… Good luck to all!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a very good friend. He was a very great athlete. Training, running races, training…. and of course with his regular exercise routine, he could eat anything he wanted and never gain a pound. At least so he thought. As a young man, he had no interest in cooking and of course french fries always sounded better than celery sticks to him. So he enjoyed fast food and sodas and Twinkies and donuts, etc. .

He enjoyed his life… or at least the 23 years of it. He died of a heart attack at the age of 24. He had no previous health problems, no history of heart disease in the family. There were no warning signs. He went from being great to being dead in a matter of minutes.

Weight is not the only thing you need to be concerned about. Even though obesity causes many health problems, being skinny does not mean being healthy. It surely helps but it does not prevent you from heart issues, diabetes and other potentially lethal conditions.

Only combination of healthy diet and exercise can dramatically improve your chances for long term health. You are only 14. Your body is still developing and has certain nutrition needs, especially if you exercise on regular bases. Junk food can’t provide this nutrition, no matter how good it tastes to you.
