Does walking really work for weight lost?
i walk 5 miles per day 5 times a week… but does walking going to help me to lose weight.. im in a diet too…

It’s not as effective of a fat burner as running for just 20-30 minutes.

Some people claim it does, but I’m skeptical of its effectiveness. To really burn calories you have to get your heart beat going, so walking to me seems an inefficient way to burn calories. Hit an elliptical machine instead.
Oh, exercise is only 30% of weight loss, the rest is diet.

yeah its a cardiovascular exercise, but its not the best thing to do.
To loose weight its simple, decrease the fat you eat such as chocolate and other products like that and increase the cardiovascular work done like running cycling or swimming.
Those three things are so much more efficent you would notice the results a lot faster.

Power walking, with a 30lb load and boots will do the trick!
You should aim for 10 miles in 2 hours.

Yes. It burns calories and increases your metabolism. However, make sure you are on the "right" diet. Do NOT starve or go hungry. Eliminate simple carbs and sugars, i.e, spaghetti, potatoes, white bread, rice, sweets with sugar and any other white, starchy foods or sweets. Then, stuff yourself on green and yellow vegetables, fresh fruit, lean meats and low fat dairy. Desserts can be made with sweeteners like Splenda. Stick with it and you are bound to lose weight.

I think walking only helps if you’re heavy. It seems to be more effective then, but once you slim down, it just becomes harder to loose with walking. When you walk you should eat healthy because that will definetly help you when you start running. Walking builds the muscles in your legs which also helps.

yes it will,along with your proper diet of about 2,000 calories to maintainweight,or 1700-1800 to lose a pound and a half a week.you could lose two pounds a week, if you power walk. it works,but be patient.it takes a while to come off . it wasn’t put on in a dayand it’s not coming off in a day.good luck and god bless.
