Question about burning calories and the calories you eat?
I’m eating around 1200 calories a day and I jog for about 20-30 minutes a day. I keep reading you need to burn more calories than you eat to lose weight. So my question is do I have to burn 1200 calories a day just to lose weight? Thanks
Yes. When demand is greater than input the body will begin to "eat" itself for fuel. However, you don’t need to burn all 1200 calories in a single jog. You are burning calories constantly. Even thinking does this.

There are different types of diets, low calories, low fat, low carbs, etc. it all really depends on what type of diet you are trying to do. Obviously, if you are trying to do a low calorie diet, you wanna definitely cut back on your calories, but not to where you have to burn all the calories you take in, that would kill you!
