what are the best diets or safe ways to lose weight?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Im a mom of 10 month old twins very busy life right now. Im 5"9 and weight 242lb, I was much smaller 2 years ago about 185lb. My life is so busy now and im having a very her time losing this baby weight. I recently lost 14 lbs and trying not to gain it back.

Food:

Make sure you don’t exceed eating 1500 calories every day. Fill your Diet with lots of fruits and veggies! Soup is also great because it isn’t loaded with calories and it can be quite filling. Stay away from pop, chips and any junk food. Try drink green tea every day to boost your metabolism. Incorporate other foods like:
Grapefruit, yogurt, almonds, turkey, ice water, spinach, beans, hot peppers, cinnamon and salmon.

These will also give your metabolism a nice boost and are very good for you, in moderation of course.

If you need a sample meal plan for one week check this out:

It really helps me to see what professionals recommend to eat on a day to day basis.

Exercise:

At least 45 minutes of exercise every day, but I would aim for 1-2 hours if you can find the time. You can split it up and do half hour in the morning, 45 minutes later that night. Some strength training is always good to keep your body toned. Toning your muscles also helps avoid any sagging skin and helps suck everything in.

What is the best diets for 13 to 15 year old girls? PLEASE HELP!!!?

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

I need to lose weight at least 10 to 20 pounds in a month because I have a dance. My dress does not fit me so I need to be able to fit in my dress or my parents say I can’t go. Please Help if you care!!!

Drink a lot of water all day. This will keep your stomach full. Eat a whole grain for breakfast because it helps get off belly fat. Oatmeal would be good. The rest of the day, eat fruit and vegetables- you will have to buy a lot of fruits/vegetables to make sure you have enough and for variety. An omega-3 Fish for lunch or dinner 2-3 times a week is good, too. Like salmon or Tuna.

A daily exercise routine is important, you can’t lose weight without exercise. Take the time to put together a set routine and divide the routine in half. Two shorter routines- once in a.m. then again in p.m. will burn more calories than one long workout.

Also, stay active- don’t lounge around. Clean your room and help around the house or whatever to keep moving.

Have Fun at your Dance!

What are the best diets and exercises for me to do to gain a six pack?

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

I’m 14 year old girl and previously had a six pack but was very ill, now fully recovered i want to know if there are any good Dieting and exercising advice that i can follow to regain my six pack, thanks Hannahh x :) by the way i am a kickboxer. :D
jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Tackling Wheat Allergies - Best Ways To Do So

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

It is quite common to find many children suffering from food allergies these days. Various foods can cause different types of allergies and the symptoms can also vary from mild to moderate to severe. It has been found that wheat is one of the top eight foods which cause allergies. Most of the food that is available contains wheat as an ingredient in one form or the other. Normally we find that it is children who are the main sufferers of wheat allergies though they soon outgrow them but sometimes even some adults tend to suffer from wheat allergies too.

The time taken for wheat allergy to show up after the food is eaten is normally anywhere between a few minutes to a few hours and the symptoms also can be anywhere between mild and severe. Anaphylaxis is a life threatening allergy symptom which needs immediate medical help. The common symptoms for wheat allergy include nasal congestion, swelling of the air way and inflammation, irritations on the skin or hives, or even nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. When the symptoms are more severe then the person can experience shock, dizziness, rapid pulse and constriction of the airways. Anyone found suffering from these symptoms would need immediate medical help as it can be life threaten.

If you find that you are suffering from wheat allergies than the best way is to avoid all wheat products in your diet. This will reduce your chances of getting an allergic reaction. The more the reactions the more severe the allergy is and therefore it is advisable to see your doctor immediately even if you find a mild symptom. Your doctor will then carry out a series of tests to find out if wheat was really the culprit for the allergy. Once it is verified that it is wheat which is the cause for the allergy than you will be advised to avoid all wheat products. You too will find it easier to avoid wheat products from your diet as most US manufacturers make it a point to list the ingredients on their food packages.

If you have a severe wheat allergic reaction your doctor would advise you to take what is called the Epipen treatment. In this treatment which is done as an emergency measure for wheat allergies an injection is given. You can also wear am bracelet which alerts people around you about your wheat allergy problems if you do happen to eat some wheat product by mistake. Wheat allergy sufferers are normally told to avoid all wheat products in their Diets and to take anti histamine if by chance they get stricken by the allergy. Wheat allergies occur more commonly in children than in adults and even children tend to outgrow their wheat allergies as they grow up.

Personal Trainer in Singapore Shows You the Possible Dangers of Diets

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

My job as a sports performance and fitness professional means that it’s my duty to help athletes achieve peak performance and also help regular clients achieve their goals in fitness such as fat loss and weight loss.

It is pretty obvious that what you eat is critical to your health and your performance.

In fact there was a study done on a group of people who were put on an excellent exercise program which consisted of 3 days per week of strength training, and 2 days a week of cardiovascular training. This went on for 12 weeks. That is a long time, and that is a lot of exercise (certainly much more than most people do!).

The results: A total amount of fat loss of… 0.5-1kg!!

Pathetic!

It is common for people who do everything correctly, that they lose 8-10kg of fat in 12 weeks. And even more if they started out very overweight.

The reason that the university study shows such disappointing results?… These people were told that they could eat whatever they pleased.

Conclusion: Nutrition is critical to achieve your fitness goals.

However there is another side to the story.

There are diets out there that promise incredible amounts of weight loss/fat loss.

I myself have tried all kinds of diets including very low calorie liquid Diets. It was a liquid only diet but the liquids were high quality protein powders. It also includes healthy fats like fish oils and flax seeds, as well as some supplements to prevent muscle loss.

These diets WORK. You will lose fat, you will look lean, and you will defeat psychological cravings for bad food (this is probably the best effect)

BUT….

Don’t forget, these are DIETS. They are not NUTRITION. There are some “side effects” that make diets short term projects, rather than life long plans.

Here are some of the problems…

Metabolic slowdown - Diets that have very low calories cannot be done for long periods of time because the body responds with shock and thinks that it is in a state of starvation.

Stress hormones will go up - low calories is a condition that is stressful to your body!

Fat storage will go up - to stay alive

Non essential systems will slow down (reproductive, immune system, digestive system etc)

Digestive system will weaken (no need to work hard if we are eating all liquids/too little food)<

Muscle Loss - this is bad! Makes you look and feel weak

The body is designed to have whole, natural foods as it’s nutrition. Different people do best on different ratios of fat, carbohydrates, and protein. But the food items should be the same. Meat and eggs from animals, vegetables and fruits as well as zero calorie drinks like teas and water should be the foundation of your nutrition no matter who you are.

So unless you have a specific weight class, competition or special event to “diet” for, forget about diets the majority of the time and focus on good nutrition.

What is the best way to lose weight fast with out taking medicine or doing diets?

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

i need to lose weight and kinda fast but not really fast i need to get my blood pressure down but idk the best way or what kind of exercise to do i’m thinking of walking when its warmer but i am not very good at being active though but i need to lose weight becuase my blood pressure is kind of high its like 150 / over something idr

I find that drinking water helps a lot in shedding weight. It isn’t so much the water but the lack of sugar that’s in drinks that does it.
I also walk whenever I can. Walking is very good for losing weight, so is eating less,.. Try it.

Easy Weight Loss Diets That Won’t Make You Starve yourself

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

If you’re like most people, you probably dread the notion of going on a diet. You imagine yourself eating nothing but salad day in and day out. When you do diet, you’re probably hungry all the time, or being forced to cheat to keep your tummy from grumbling.

Dieting the conventional way is not fun. It’s slow, there are a million restrictions on what you can eat, and you’re always stuck with a lack of food choices. What’s worse, when you eat less, you’re actually fighting your body. Your metabolism will slow down as instinct kicks in, conserving as many calories as possible in case lean times are ahead. So while eating less does result in weight loss over time, it’s not fast, and it’s not easy.

Easy weight loss diets operate on a different set of principles. You can lose weight quickly, easily, and fairly painlessly-if your Diet is focused on the right things. The key is a technique called calorie shifting. You’ve probably heard of calorie shifting techniques before, like eating smaller portions more frequently throughout the day, or focusing on certain kinds of foods at certain times of day.

Calorie shifting diets are easy weight loss diets that include a number of ways to stimulate your metabolism. With a faster metabolism, you burn more calories by doing the same amount of work. Imagine if you could lose weight without changing your daily routine-no need for tons of exercise, or months of self-starvation.

It almost sounds too good to be true, but calorie shifting works. To employ calorie shifting successfully, however, you have to get the details right. That’s why a simple weight loss diet like FatLoss4Idiots is best; this diet will create an 11 day meal plan for you that doesn’t involve starvation, and all you have to do is follow that plan. It’s no wonder I found so many positive testimonials when I researched this FatLoss4Idiots review!
