Would it be healthful to go on this diet/exercise plan?

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

On days when I don’t work out, consuming 1200 calories (in fruits/veggies, milk, whole grains, and nuts). On days when I do work out, consuming 2000 calories (in the same things as before). Usually when I exercise I burn 600-700 calories. My BMR is around 1400.

Is this healthful? If it’s not, please tell me what I should change.

sounds good to me. sounds like you’re maintaining your weight, not trying to lose weight which is fine. you’re eating really healthy. just drink lots of water to hydrate. good luck :)

15, i need to lose a little weight, tips for diet and exercise, please help.?

Friday, August 13th, 2010

to start this off, im a 15 year old boy. i’ve been a vegetarian for 3 1/2 years now and im not healthy. i didn’t start being one for the health aspect though, just for the whole animal thing. i eat a lot of processed foods, veggie burgers, tofu, ETC. i’m also kind of picky, there aren’t to many veggies i like but i try and tolerate most of them, i love fruit though. but what i need help on is losing weight, im not too overweight but im just a little on the pudgy side, im not looking to get buff, i could care less, im just tired of having no stamina and not being happy with my body. i dont drink very much soda but i feel it’s enough but im stopping. i just sort of have man boobs and chubby-ish belly, any diet and exersize tips would be great, i might start eating meat if that would make me healthier. please help.

Get rid of that vegetarian mind set. No matter if you eat meat or not the same amount of animals are going to die. You might as well eat meat so it doesn’t go to waste. Second, you need protein in your diet which comes from MEAT. Third don;t drink ANY sodas.. None.. Zero.. NOT EVEN DIET ONES! Fourth eat small meals though out the day. It speeds up your metabolism. Don’t sit don’t sit down and indulge 3 times a day. Don’t ever eat until you are stuffed either. Fifth. Get enough sleep but not to much. Rest is important. 8 hours a day. Not 8 hours starting at 2am and going to 10am. Sixth - Do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. When you are done eat some fruit and something like oatmeal. Grilled chicken is great for you. Low fat in fat and calories. Seventh - Stay away from frozen meals. They are loaded with sodium.. Once you get your Diet straightened out get on a work out routine. If you have problems with motivation getting to the gym just think about all the chicks there with nice bodies you get too see. Thats what keeps me going atleast.
