Friday, September 3rd, 2010

I have a Diet blog i just started, i have about 3 posts, someone said i should start promoting i now. I thought i should wait until i had at least 10 posts and feedback from a few people in various forums before I promote it so maybe in 2 weeks. What do you think?

How long to get from 0 - 1000 visitors a day using free marketing/advertising methods?

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

I am starting a Diet blog/website and i am wondering how many months will it take from getting 0-1000 visitors a day. I’m hoping 4 or 5 because it will take at least 3 months for me to have a reasonable amount of content. Is that a reasonable assumption if i work on it 2-3 hours a day?

It can certainly be done within 3-6 months. The key is not how much content you have, though. You are going to need to learn a lot if you are ever going to get there.

I suggest using wordpress and getting a good SEO plugin, and a social media plugin so that you can connect your blog to your facebook/twitter etc. Learn the basics of search engine optimization, and apply them to every single post.

Start writing posts after doing your "keyword research" (you will learn this in SEO), and then re-apply the content to your social media, plus things like squidoo… etc.

You will get there, but the search engine optimization is extremely important to know.

There is also a really great product out there called the 100k blogging project. I’ll put a link to it below.

Ideas for a blog about dieting and losing weight?

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

I’m currently running another blog and im looking to start one to help me make my weight goal and to inspire other but having a hard time coming up with a catchy name any ideas

I had one call, "The Cave-Man Diet". It was a variation of the low-carb diet but no processed foods. I lost 110 pounds over 2 years on it.
Then I went off of it for a year because of a bad work and life schedule and gained back 25 pounds. I just got back on it 2 weeks ago though and lost 5 pounds.

When I reach my new goal, which I hope to do by the beginning of next year, I want to have a T-shirt printed up with a picture of my old 330 pound self on the back with the word, "BEFORE", printed above it. Below I’ll put a web site address.

Want to check out my diet/life/beauty blog?!?

Foods That Cause Heartburn

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Like other conditions, the food you eat everyday can affect how frequent and severe your heartburn can be. Therefore, you should avoid eating foods that cause heartburn, if you want to lessen your heartburn attacks.

Heartburn is a condition that affects millions of people worldwide. When it strikes, the sufferer experiences great pain in the chest which spreads to the throat, which lasts for several minutes. The pain is enough to make the sufferer stop what he’s doing at the moment. And what’s worse is that, this condition can happen even at night.

Fortunately, there are many ways how to stop heartburn. Among them is by following the right Diet for heartburn every day. There are certain food groups that can worsen your condition, and these are the ones you should not eat. These include: caffeine, chocolate, spices, citrus, oil, butter, fatty food, mayonnaise, alcohol and tomato-based products.

The foods that cause heartburn are either those that make one’s digestive system work harder, causing the body to release more acids, or those that cause the lower esophageal sphincter to relax.

But there are certain foods which are safe to eat for heartburn sufferers. These are generally low in fat and are much easier to digest. These include: carbohydrate-rich food, those that are low in fat, steamed vegetables, baked potatoes, and fruits like apples.

But of course, you should not only mind the food you eat everyday if you want to avoid heartburn. Some other preventive measures to follow include:

- Wearing loose clothing.
- Staying away from things that contain nicotine, like alcohol and cigarettes
- Raising the head of your bed by six to eight inches
- Eating small meals every day
- Maintaining a reasonable weight

There are many other foods that cause heartburn. If you want to completely avoid them, visit my website for more tips and don’t forget to search the web for free heartburn-free recipes.

And for a natural treatment for heartburn, just visit my blog where I give a review on a book that helped thousands cure their condition naturally.
