Is there a generic cookie diet that actually works?

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

I’ve tried the cookie Diet but I can’t keep up with the cost. Has anyone run across a cheaper one?

YES! YES! YES! They are called R&D Diet Cookies. They don’t call themselves "cookie diet" because of trademark problems but… they work the same. They actually taste better and I also really believe they work better. Much, much, cheaper! You can find them at:

What You Need To Know About Candida Albacans

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Candida Albacans is a type of yeast fungus which, it is thought is present in everyone, or at least a large percentage of the population. It tends to live in either the mouth, the vaginal area, digestive tract or in the folds of our skin.

Normally a good immune system along with a healthy amount of friendly bacteria (probiotics) will help to keep the fungus from growing excessively.

Unfortunately if a person’s immune system should become weakened through either illness or through excessive use of prescribed or non-prescribed drugs then this provides the Candida with a chance to grow quickly.

There are however, many ways of suppressing a Candida yeast infection from growing out of control.

Increasing the amount of probiotics in the body is one way that has shown to help. Probiotics are good bacteria that live in the gastrointestinal tract and they are part of the body’s defense against yeast infections. Should their numbers become low there is nothing to stop the Candida from multiplying.

Probiotic supplements can help to reintroduce friendly bacteria into your body. Normally probiotics come in capsule form or as a drink, although there are some probiotic foods available. They all contain a large amount of friendly bacteria.

Generally a good probiotic supplement will contain around 30 - 50 billion good bacteria and will normally be taken as part of a treatment.

Another way of ensuring that Candida is not provided with the right kind of environment to thrive in is by changing your diet.

Often a person suffering from Candida will be recommended to go on an anti-candida diet.

These diets require the elimination of foods which contain sugar this includes granulated sugar, brown sugar, honey all types of syrups (maples and molasses) as well as many fruit and fruit juices.

Also, food that contain yeast should be removed from the diet as well, which would include all bakery goods like bread, cookies, crackers, muffins and pastries.

The reason for cutting these foods out of your diet are because both sugar and yeast are ideal for helping the Candida yeast fungi to grow even more and they do not create a friendly environment for the good bacteria to prosper.

As well as a change of diet often your doctor will probably prescribe a course of treatment, which includes drugs that have anti-fungal properties.

Your doctor will often prescribe them and request you to make changes to your Diet. However, if they do not it is important that you find out the cause of your candida infection, otherwise it could reoccur after the medication has run its course.

Mention to your physician that you would like to look at ways of improving your immune system, and bolstering the levels of good bacteria in your GI tract, these will both help reduce the chance of candida albacans from reoccurring.

What’s a good, easy recipe for healthy cookies that kids will love?

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

I am going on a diet and if I make cookies I want to make a batch of healthy, yet yummy cookies that the family will enjoy. I would like it if the recipe were easy and okay for my acne-Diet. Thanks.

Make oatmeal cookies using honey and add a few dried cranberries and nuts. To make it healthier, add a little oat or wheat bran and wheat germ. You could also add any other kind of nuts or dried fruit that you like. Just be sure not to eat too many, they are healthy but packed with calories too. After all, they are cookies.

Is it healthy to eat Just cookies everyday?

Monday, March 29th, 2010

My aunt is on something called the cookie Diet.

She eat 1 cookie every 2 hours and then she eats dinner at night. She is not fat or anything but just wanted to know why this can’t be healthy.

She’s about 115 and her height is 5,1ish.

Can you also let me know specifics on why it’s not healthy so i can let her know?
I understand you guys just want to get points for answering but can you help me out a little.

I assume you’re talking about those special diet cookies and not like Chips Ahoy… if so that’s probably okay… I’m not sure of the specific nutrients in those, but they’re probably designed to give you everything you need.

Going Gluten Free For Emotional Eaters– Hot Niche Market!

Friday, March 26th, 2010

The beautifully designed e-books, workbooks, shopping kits, food journal and my personal favorite: a peek into the pantry of a gluten free kid, are easy to read, with doable step by step instructions, while also being educational about the nature of gluten, gluten intolerance, and the more serious, celiac diseas

Bonus #3 Gluten Free Shopping Kit (pdf) which includes a natural food store shopping list and a grocery store shopping list (who can shop at just one place anymore!) as well as a weekly meal planner!

When you click the link and enter the password, you will find yourself at a page where you can download the handouts (workbook, ebook, extras, etc.) Once you have downloaded these, you can print them out before you start to listen to the call.

I was able to find books about the scientific basis of gluten intolerance, and I found gluten-free cookbooks, but nowhere did I find a resource for everything I needed; the history, the science, the whole-food recipes and the emotional support for what was a pretty stressful transition.

As a new health counselor myself, I have had much exposure to information about going gluten free, and your class is the most comprehensive source of information I have EVER seen and heard.

If all these people had the support that would help them really achieve a long-term gluten-free Diet, they would have individual benefits? like less pain, healed skin, painless digestion, stable blood sugar, no more cravings, more energy, better sleep and more joy ? and society would also have the benefit of happier, more productive people who need less medical car

does limiting sugars [like cookies] from your diet get easier as time goes on?

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

im having a difficult time keepin it up but im very motivated to lose weight, does it get easier with the cravings and such?

* and don’t tell me i can just have it in small amounts, i’ve learned that if i have one then i have to have ten. it’s quite sad *

Yes. I did the same thing over the summer where I cut out all my desserts and sugary snacks and lost 15 lbs. However be warned that you have to maintain diligence otherwise its easy to slip up. Try finding a low calorie food that you enjoy to replace to cookies when you feel like snaking. I suggest fruit or chewing gum.
