Looking for a really good slimming tea to add to my diet. HELP!?

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

Any suggestions for a slimming tea to help with some weight loss? I am 5′6 and 152 lbs. I don’t think I am really fat. I would really like to lose about 15-20 lbs. and want an easy way to do it. If I can drink some tea and it works, I’m all for it!

I am also not really sure what is what as far as green teas go, so something cheap. but effective, would be nice. Thanks in advance!

diet help please … opinon?

ok i know some people who went on the cabridge diet where they just drink healthy milk sakes, 3 a day and they contain all nutrients, calcium’s etc you need. but its dear to buy the milk shakes if your drinking 3 a day for at least 3/4 weeks. so does any one know of a similar diet that’s cheaper,or a recipe for a shake /smoothie etc hat could work the same?
thanks

Liquid diets are tricky.

If you want to make your own smoothies, it’s pretty easy and they can be done in advance so that you don’t have to make them 3 times a day. What I do is I look up the fruits and veggies that are in season and figure out which ones would taste good together. If you’re worried about price, in-season fruits and vegetables are your best bet. However, they can be really limited after the fresh season depending on where you live.

Another alternative is to use frozen fruits or vegetables. This is really great if you’re wanting something now because then you don’t have to add ice–it is the ice. Just be careful that what you’re doing isn’t giving you too many carbs because that can send your blood sugar through a loop. If you already have problems with blood sugar, it could take up to a week to correct! (Be very careful!)

If you’re looking for protein, stay away from rice milk and almond milk. Use cow’s milk or soy milk. Yes, it’s true that soy milk can estrogenize you but you’re really probably not going to be able to get as much as you’re thinking at only 3 shakes a day. Cow’s milk can now also be bought with Omega-3s which will be important if you’re doing an all-liquid Diet since you won’t have access to fish.

Some other fun things to try adding are: almonds (not almond milk), walnuts, flax seed, yogurt (makes it creamy but pure carbs), sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds. It all depends on your taste. If you add anything other than yogurt or liquid, you’ll need to add just a tad bit more to adjust. I really like the nuttiness of the sunflower seeds and walnuts but they don’t go with everything. If you’re needing a zinc boost (immunity, libido), you can also try pumpkin seeds. If you’re worried about any of the nuts/seeds/legumes blending in, I would say to just blend them up to semi-powder before and go from there. It might also be easier for you to judge how much additional liquid you need. I would highly suggest that you add some protein like flax seed, though (also Omega-3), on the basis that if you don’t have enough protein, you’re going to be starving no matter how many of these you drink. If you’re exercising it won’t be so bad but the carbs will definitely win out in the end over all the benefits if you’re sedentary. And you shouldn’t be exercising without taking in protein.

To make them in advance, just buy freezer-safe containers or ziploc bags and make a ton at once. What I usually do is the containers and just pull them out a day in advance if I’m at home or pull them out when I’m going somewhere for, like, work. This way it’s defrosted (mostly) by lunch and I don’t have to worry about anyone stealing my containers out of the communal refrigerator. (/angry fist shake)

If you’re also looking for an easy solution, though I can’t speak to the full range of vitamins and minerals, Yoplait now puts out a pre-packaged smoothie solution with frozen berries. It’s 2 cups milk for one package and it’s supposed to make two. The volume will fill you but the sugar will give you a headache if you’re sensitive.

If you’re looking for a protein drink that tastes decent, I would suggest the pre-made muscle milks (which also come in light but they have less protein). Make sure, though, that you drink a full glass of water afterward because the volume isn’t enough to fill you and you’ll be like "WTF?!?!" until you eat again. You could always put it into your smoothie, I guess, but the good ones are chocolate and they taste like chocolate milk so it would depend on how good you feel chocolate+smoothie is. It has more protein than cow’s milk so it’s up to you.

If you’re drinking protein shakes in the morning, add 1 TBS powdered creamer and 3TBS more water/milk than you usually use and it makes it really creamy and more like a milkshake. (Anything to make those more enjoyable.)

If you’re going to make smoothies on your own, though, the most important thing to do is your research. If you’re already taking a multivitamin, figure out what can go into that smoothie that your multivitamin isn’t covering. BE CAREFUL! There are some B-vitamins that are associated with liver damage when taken in large doses over time. You’ll need them to help break down the energy in the food but don’t take that to mean to have 3-4 times the daily recommended dose. Too much vitamin A and E can make you feel sick. Make sure that you’re getting some fat in your system because not all vitamins and minerals are water-soluble (will digest if you have water in your system). Cooking fruits and vegetables can sometimes destroy the vitamins and minerals so try not to cook them. Canned fruits and vegetables are usually cooked. If your food starts tasting metallic, you’re getting too much zinc. If you start getting dizzy, you probably don’t have enough iron in your system (which happens if you’re low on red meats or leafy greens) and you’re becoming anemic OR you’re having a reaction to something you’re eating. Also make sure to re-read any labels for medication you’re taking to make sure that what’s in the smoothies doesn’t react badly or cancel it out (grapefruit is pretty common for that).

Hope that isn’t too much info! I play "Team Mom" at my house for this kind of stuff so I probably have more in there than I needed but I hope you can get something out of it that’s helpful!

I need help with a diet on low budget?

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

I need to loose 30 pounds how can i do it quick and what excersises should i do and how often.

most important thing is to do this naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc.

first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally..

eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple Diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is not good .

if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins.

go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours.

if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose at least 10 pounds per month until you get to your natural healthy weight..dont know what your height is,,but look up on the internet what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good.

10 pounds each month in 6 months you should lose 60 pounds..for sure…but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed…

btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste.

drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn weight faster…you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well.

good luck

P90X diet help please?

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Ok so I’m soon going to borrow p90x from a friend of mine but being that im not buying it I’m guessing I do not have access to Diet plans for my self as well as work out plans and any other of the tools to help. Is there anyways I can still gain access to these things because working out is great and all but it won’t matter if my diet and schedule are messed up. Also I’m not going into the program to get super buff I am just using in to get into the right weight size for my age and size (I am 6′3 and 230lbs) and maybe put on some muscles so I look a little ton. Any help is appreciated

The P90X diet isn’t anything special or notable. I didn’t follow it properly and I still got great results.

The principles the nutrition guide stresses are very important but I’d already known this stuff. You probably don’t.

Basically you need to split your meals into five per day instead of the traditional three: Bk, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. Next you need to calculate your TDEE and consume the same number of calories as your TDEE. Actually if you want to lose weight and burn fat you need to consume between 300-500 calories lower than your TDEE. WHat’s a TDEE? Calculate it here: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html (or just google TDEE calculator).

Next you have to divide your caloric goal by 5 and eat that many calories per meal. Don’t exceed it. Accuracy is important. Make sure you check your food labels for the amount of calories per 100g

Next you gotta eat healthily. Everything’s gotta be healthy. That means no junk food nor fried foods nor sugary foods. Drink water instead of sugary drinks. Eat plenty of vegetables, stuff your face with lettuce. Eat fruit in moderation- not excessively because fruit contains a fair amount of fruit sugar (fructose) and acids.

I recommend eating oatmeal every morning. I recommend switching to brown bread. I recommend not eating too many yolks and way more egg whites; s

what would be a sure proof diet plan to help lose app. 7-10 lbs in 2 weeks?

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

I have tried every diet I can get my hands on, I now take diet pills, but after I stop taking them the weight comes back.

Hi,

I have lost 5 stone over roughly a four year period of on and off dieting and the best way I found to reduce my weight quickly before my wedding was to watch the amount of fat I was consuming, I did not bother myself too much with the calorie side of things and keep to food with extremely low fat content. This work extremely well although appart from hitting the atkins diet I think that you are looking at the most to loose the 7 pound in 2-4 weeks on any Diet.

All the best with it I know dieting sucks!!!

Should I Crash diet???? Plz help and advice needed/?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

I know that losing a rapid amount of weight in a short time is very very unhealthy but I have an event coming up in approx 7 days and I’ve heard of this diet. I just want to lose 3 or 4 kg but Now say if I do this diet for the sake of the event and then really really properly diet for about 1 month or so, will I maintain the lost weight permenantly or for long term? Because I need to lose about 4 kg minimum for the event. I need as much as help as possible. Thank You.

crash Diets are a terrible idea! no one should ever consume less than 1500 calories a day. it’s just dangerous. I know two people with eating disorders and crash diets are just the beginning to a life long struggle with an eating disorder.

On another note, I’m currently trying to loose 25 pounds and I’m one week in! I lost 5 pounds by eating 1500 calories a day and excercising for about an hour a day. I cut out red meat, snack on fruit during the day, and count the amount of carbs and fat I consume. you can’t go wrong :) you’ll feel good too!

PLEASE HELP!! I want to crash diet….please help asap…as much answers needed plz!!?

No i’m not stopping my eating, but diets which lose alot of weight in a very little amount of time is a crash diet.

I personally wouldn’t do it. Even a week could cause some damage. Just be confident in how you look and who you are. Then even if you are not your ideal weight, you wont have to worry. You can start a normal healthy diet now and continue it for awhile, but don’t crash diet. Hope I helped :)

Healthy diet tips? - 125 pounds - 5′2 : Wanting to loose at least 10-15 pounds PLEASE help?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

I tend to eat only breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I really want to get my belly flat, which means to loosing about 10 pounds.
I’ve been exercising for about 20 minutes to an hour long of running on the elliptical trainer.
How long will it take me to reach my goal? And any tips to help me through it?
xx, thank you.

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.
