In need of p90x diet meal plan! Or any great diet meal plan!:)?
Sunday, August 8th, 2010Hello, I am looking into losing 60 lbs! I am borrowing my friends dvd of p90x for a few months because they just found out they are pregnant and not in need of it for awhile.. So my question is what diet should I do? I have heard something about Diet phases for p90x?? Anyone have a meal plan they can share with me to go along with the p90x videos?? Thanks:)

I am doing the P90X diet and workout. I have the nutrition book and all that. First its important to know how much you weigh. The meal plans are designed so they can be personalized to your specific needs. Email me.. I won’t be able to get all this together until at least another 2 hours, my kids are up and still little so when they go to bed I can email back.
First thing you can do is figure out how many calories you need so that you know which nutrition level to start at.
(Your body weight) x 10=
This gives you your rmr (resating metabolic rate -calories you need to breathe, blink…)
Now that you have that number use it here:
(rmr) x .20 =
This gives you your daily activity burn. -how many calories required for movement aside from exercise.
Now multiply:
(Your rmr) x (daily activity burn) +600 =
This will determine your nutrition level.
Level 1: 1800- 2399 calories
Level 2: 2400- 2999 calories
Level 3: 3000+ calories.
Let me know your level and we can go from there.
what times are a better meal diet plan?

Meal 1 @ 8 am : Breakfast
Meal 2 @ 11 pm: Snack
Meal 3 @ 2 pm: Lunch
Meal 4 @ 5 pm: Snack
Meal 5 @ 8 pm: Dinner
But i made that random to make my point, Could you change that to what you think is the best time for a diet meal plan?
I’m hungry right now and it’s 10:51 A.M here. I ate in 8 A.M and i exercised after breakfast.
should i eat a snack right now? And like i said what do you think is the best time for a Diet meal plan? like the one i showed you the example.

Meal times are of way less importance then your daily totals. Meal times would be more important to an athlete who needed more energy for their particular event.
Eating 5-6 meals is over blown and not needed. Nor does it raise your metabolism more than 3 meals if end of the day calories are the same in both applications. You may hear that it does but that is only a myth. Metabolism is raised *during the digestion period of a meal*. So, end of day calories being equal, 3 big meals and 6 smaller meals raise your metabolism equally.
To answer your question, the best time to eat your meals is whenever fits your schedule best.
is this a good diet meal plan or not?
Friday, July 30th, 2010im on a diet to get a flat stomach and toned arms. i have skinny legs and i want to even out my body.
so im on the treadmill 1 hr everyday and today for breakfast i had watermelon and grapes. and right now im eating a whole mango. and thats all for the whole day. and at night i drink a cup of green tea.
yesterday i had watermelon for breakfast too.
is this healthy or not?..
No it’s not healthy. After a while you are likely to get tired and run down. Don’t get me wrong, you will loose weight. But as soon as you start eating relatively normal, all the weight you lost is likely come back.
You need to eat a balanced Diet, still eat lots of fruit and veg but eat a small amount of carbohydrates and you need to make sure your getting enough protein, especially if your doing cardio an hour a day. Protein is really important for the building and repair of body tissues, and you will need it if you’re doing cardio every day. Foods which contain a good protein source are eggs, lean meat and fish. Also make sure you drink lots of water.
I also really recommend doing some resistance exercises such as weights and sit ups when you work out, especially if you want to tone your tummy and arms up. Running alone won’t give you your desired goal.

try to drink a gallon of water a day first of all…especially if your taking supplements. stay away from fatty foods like red meats…eat a lot of chicken, and if you like seafood, that’s excellent too. Fruits and veggies are great…its basically common sense. just harder to do than it sounds…
