I love to eat obviously, i’m not fat i just have like 10 extra pounds i could do without. So what are some meals and snacks i can eat that will keep me fun and is tasty. Boring diet plans i can NEVER stick too.
Honestly, I used to think it was impossible for me to lose weight because I thought I was simply an addict. But now I can say that I have conquered my addiction and lost 30 pounds in the process.
So here’s what I did and here’s what I’m going to suggest for you. It might sound a little extreme but trust me it works.
First, buy a scale. I like the Tanita body scale. It measures body weight and body fat percentage. Turn weight loss into a game. Say you start your diet on Sunday. Promise yourself that you will weigh yourself every Sunday and record it. I have a blog and that’s where I record my weight. Even though no one reads it, it still makes me feel accountable.
Second, try to have a Diet of predominantly fruits, vegetables, nuts, soups, and meat. Try to cut out carbs. Try to cut out junk food and alcohol. Do not go to restaurants, do not get fast food.
Honestly try to eat as healthy as you can. You don’t have to be perfect 100% of the time. Just try though. Try to aspire to be perfect 100% of the time. If you turn weight loss into a game and/or use a blog, this should help keep you in line. And when you do let yourself indulge ask yourself if what you eat really is as good as you thought. When I did this, especially after a couple weeks, I found that all the foods I used to love really weren’t that worth it and stopped eating them because I didn’t like them anymore. If you still love certain indulgences, that’s fine but make a mental note to yourself when you eat something that isn’t worth it anymore.
Also, even though I tell you to try to eat well 100% of the time, don’t deprive yourself. Let yourself give in to your cravings once in a while. I would normally do this on my weigh-in day. That way, I would have the rest of the week to make up for it.
If you do this, I guarantee that you won’t love food nearly as much as you do now after three weeks. Like I said it’s a little extreme but it does work. And you don’t have to be perfect. Just do your best.
You also need a workout plan, which is largely up to you. I like running and using the elliptical at the gym. I normally do 6 miles 5 days a week on the elliptical but do whatever you like.
