Diet plan for a teen girl that loves food? :)?

I love to eat obviously, i’m not fat i just have like 10 extra pounds i could do without. So what are some meals and snacks i can eat that will keep me fun and is tasty. Boring diet plans i can NEVER stick too. :D
Honestly, I used to think it was impossible for me to lose weight because I thought I was simply an addict. But now I can say that I have conquered my addiction and lost 30 pounds in the process.

So here’s what I did and here’s what I’m going to suggest for you. It might sound a little extreme but trust me it works.

First, buy a scale. I like the Tanita body scale. It measures body weight and body fat percentage. Turn weight loss into a game. Say you start your diet on Sunday. Promise yourself that you will weigh yourself every Sunday and record it. I have a blog and that’s where I record my weight. Even though no one reads it, it still makes me feel accountable.

Second, try to have a Diet of predominantly fruits, vegetables, nuts, soups, and meat. Try to cut out carbs. Try to cut out junk food and alcohol. Do not go to restaurants, do not get fast food.

Honestly try to eat as healthy as you can. You don’t have to be perfect 100% of the time. Just try though. Try to aspire to be perfect 100% of the time. If you turn weight loss into a game and/or use a blog, this should help keep you in line. And when you do let yourself indulge ask yourself if what you eat really is as good as you thought. When I did this, especially after a couple weeks, I found that all the foods I used to love really weren’t that worth it and stopped eating them because I didn’t like them anymore. If you still love certain indulgences, that’s fine but make a mental note to yourself when you eat something that isn’t worth it anymore.

Also, even though I tell you to try to eat well 100% of the time, don’t deprive yourself. Let yourself give in to your cravings once in a while. I would normally do this on my weigh-in day. That way, I would have the rest of the week to make up for it.

If you do this, I guarantee that you won’t love food nearly as much as you do now after three weeks. Like I said it’s a little extreme but it does work. And you don’t have to be perfect. Just do your best.

You also need a workout plan, which is largely up to you. I like running and using the elliptical at the gym. I normally do 6 miles 5 days a week on the elliptical but do whatever you like.

i’m 15 and i wanna lose some weight before school starts(:

Just cutting out bad carbs such as white rice, white bread, junk food, processed foods and soda will help you get there.You dont have to give up anything, find healthier versions of you favorite foods.
Here are some alternatives:

White bread- whole grain toast or whole wheat

white rice- wild rice or brown rice

soda- Diet coke

cereal- oatmeal

cheese- cottage cheese

sugar- honey (use it as a sweetner)

full fat yogurt- non fat yogurt

Jello- sugar free jello

And as for exercise: stick to some fun cardio like cycling, swimming, dancing for one hour, 3-4 times a week.

Healthy diet food plan for teens ?

i am 14 years old and hoping to eat a little healthier and lose some weight.
i need a rough food plan to help me know what to have for breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, etc. any help ?

Food Ideas:

Breakfast:
oatmeal with tbsp of natural peanut butter mixed in, yogurt, fruit.
scrambled eggs with some shredded cheese and chunky salsa on top, fruit juice.
non-fat yogurt with fresh fruit and granola mixed in.

Lunch:
tuna egg salad sand which(find a good recipe, mine only has 300 cals per serving!), some fruit, glass of skim milk.
fruit salad made with your favorite fruit, mozzarella cheese stick, v8 juice
grilled chicken salad with flat leaf baby spinach. add your fave veggies, some walnuts, fruit. use a vinaigrette.

Dinner;
grilled salmon with steamed rice and veggies.
whole grain pasta with turkey meatballs. find a tomato sauce made with lots of veggies.
rotisserie chicken, baked beans, fruit skewer

Snacks:
any fruit.
quick grab veggies like carrots
if you can find a whole grain bar with no ingredients you don’t know
yogurt
raw almonds

Three meals a day a snack in between the meals. No processed or junk food. If it doesn’t have a mother and doesn’t grow from the ground don’t eat it. And if it doesn’t sound healthy don’t eat it. The more something advertises it as healthy the worse it probably is for you! Also I would check out the new Seventeen magazine. They put a whole health and fitness section in with even more Diet tips this month. Hope I helped! Good luck!
