What are some concerns and some benefits from vaccination in general?
I have this project about vaccination and i have to find concerns and benefits grade9. The project has to be linked to biotechnology and if you have anything to add i’d be more than happy.
The concerns are the ignorance of the public in knowing what a vaccination is all about. For instance, what is it? It’s contents? Many people cannot answer even these two questions. So that’s a big concern for Doctors. The benefits are to build an army of white corpuscles within your body so when the actual illness enters your body you will have the defenses to fight it off immediately and not get the illness. So the benefits are not getting sick. (not a 100% guarantee but enough for you to go and get vaccinate.)

You have a great project and although you’re likely struggling to get your assignment done, you will have some great information after this school project.
We are a child safety site so of course we get asked this question a lot! I have given you a couple of websites that are particularly good so you can do some reading and see what you would like to include in your report
1. http://www.unlessthelordmagazine.com/articles/Vaccines%20Prt%201.htm
2. http://vran.org/
One thing to keep in mind when talking about the risks of vaccines is not simply the vaccine itself. It may be a well tested and good vaccine however, our individual characteristics such as how we feel at the time we’re getting a shot (like if we have a cold), allergies (especially to eggs in the case of flu vaccines), other health conditions and medications can affect us in combination with any risks from the vaccine so make sure you state that in your report along with the safety of the vaccine itself.
Finally, check out the Centre for Disease Control’s website, loads of information there too http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/
Good luck with your project!

A concern would be who funds the studies which say vaccines are beneficial.

Well there are many concerns and risks associated with vaccination.
- The Ingredients
- Side Effects
- Effectiveness
Are the main ones.
If you have a look at this site (http://www.naturalparentingtips.com/child-health/vaccinate-child/) it makes a compelling argument against. It also references over 15 .gov (fda, cdc, nih) websites which I am sure will be handy to reference in your project.
