is it weird that my dog is eating a lot?!?

My dog when i used to feed her wellness literally only ate probably a quarter of a cup a day which is once (my dog is 10lb) if i’m lucky, or else it’s like once every 2 days. She never seems healthy and never likes eating, but treats she’ll eat right away. But again very picky about it. Recently, my dog has been diagnosed with IBD, inflammable bowed disease, which would mean the food she was eating actually hurt her. So my vet prescribed me a prescription Diet. Suddenly now she eats 3 times a day, and never do i have to force her like i usually do. Is this a good thing? Or is this a sign of something happening.

Is she doing it because now her stomach feels better, this is how much she would actually eat, or is there an underlying problem?

Also she has spinal arthritis, can that be the reason?!
She also farts a lot lately too.

dogs will eat anything in front of them, they will eat until they burst, they are that stupid.

Yes. The prescription food has more fillers/grain so your dog must eat more. It’s normal.

I agree with the fist answer. I also have a dog with the same thing. However i don’t use prescription food. I started him on natural balance venison and sweet potato and he’s more normal than ever! The corn, wheat, and soy that’s in the prescription food will give your dog more gas and they won’t absorb the vitamins they needs becase dogs can’t properly digest those ingredients like humans, despite what most people say. The natural balance is limited ingredients (just venison and sweet potato) so there isn’t a bunch of differen fats and proteins for the dog to digest. Also game meats are a much leaner meat (venison, bison, duck, rabbit) so it’s much easier to digest as well. Also the game meats are hydrolized proteins so again less digestion which is what the prescription foods try to obtain synthetically.

It’s normal let her eat. i am really sorry about that. my cousin is a vet. and he told me try not to give her something heavy but don’t let her starve either.

–Le Bouchon— You are the stupid one and immoral. Animals are more human than you!
