help on diet and exercise routine?
okay im 15.
im 5′3” and like 155 -165lbs.
i really really want to lose weight before starting school again in a month or so. i started a work out routine, but im having trouble on the diet part, and when i should work out and when i should take a break. please hep me.
You have asked a very complex question, so just know that there really is no way that anyone on here can answer your question 100% correctly.
With that in mind, I’ll try and answer your question the best I can.
From what I understand, you have developed a workout routine with which you are being relatively consistent. That’s great because a lot of people struggle with staying consistent in their workout plans.
You said that you’re not sure when you should workout, and when you should take a break. As a general rule of thumb, you should workout at least 3 times a week, but if you’re in shape, then working out more will not hurt as long as you don’t overdo it.
The best way to gauge when you should take a break is to listen to your body. Now, that doesn’t mean that whenever you feel tired, then you should take a day off. What I mean is that if you’re feeling overly sore, or if you’re seriously too sick to workout, then a day off here and there will not hurt a thing.
You’ll know when you really need to take a day off, so use your common sense on that one. Just don’t make it a habit of taking days off, because the more time you take off, the more time you want to take off, and that’s a big reason that people give up their workout and Dieting plans.. One day turns to 2, which turns to 3, and so on…
As for your diet, I don’t know what type of body composition you have, so the best thing that I can tell you to do is consult your physician, and ask him/her to help you set up an eating and nutrition plan. He/she will be able to guide you in the right direction.
Well, that’s pretty much the 1-2 punch that you need to lose weight. I hope that I’ve given you a sense of direction which you can follow.
Good luck!

First off, since you’re quite young, check with a doctor as you progress. Your health is the most important thing.
Speaking as someone who has dropped 15-20 pounds in the last 3-4 weeks, here are a few tips I’ve used with success over the years:
1. Start off with a good healthy fast (research for the best way to do this) One of the great benefits of eating a very small amount is that it shrinks your stomach, and when you eat, you’ll feel full on much less. Once you achieve this, don’t overeat anymore. Keep your stomach small, and you’ll always feel satisfied. When you’re a chronic over-eater, you don’t feel satisfied with anything less than TOO MUCH food. And hence — you get fat.
Yes, I’ve actually dried the whole several-small-meals thing. I didn’t see it working very well for weight loss. It might work well for weight MAINTENANCE though (see below.) As my grandmother says (roughly translated into English), “for weightless, there’s just one solution – EHOI – Eat Half of It.)
2. Try a nice Hoodie complex (Hoodie, green tea, cocoa.) It helps curb and normalize the appetite to help keep you in control. No jitters or anything.
3. Drink plenty of green tea or white tea. I’ve recently started drinking white tea and it’s great. Very light flavor. I drop it in a bottle of water, add a bit of stevia, and drink it down — yes, with the tea floating loose. It’s quite tasty.
Reserach shows that green tea and some caffeine will burn up to 100 extra calories a day. (But apparently no more than that, so don’t go nuts.)
4. Stevia. STEVIA!!! You’ll never go back to sugar again! And you ‘ll never poison yourself with artificial sweeteners again! Stevia is an herb used for thousands of years in South America and Africa.
I suggest NOW Brand Stevia glycerite liquid or a similar brand with a very high rebaudiana content. Cheaper brands of the liquid or powder contain components of Stevia that can leave a bitter aftertaste. But the NOW brand (and another Canadian brand) use the non-bitter components of the plant exclusively. (They’re more expensive because the non-bitter components are a small percentage of the plant.)
I also suggest getting the big 8 OZ bottle.
Whereas you can find a 2 OZ bottle of NOW Stevia in a health food store for maybe $9 - $12, you can find the 8 OZ bottle online on places like iherb . com for $11.99.
Stevia is highly concentrated, so a few drops will do you. So an 8 oz bottle will last you quite a while. And it quickly dissolves in drinks, cereal, etc.
5. Also, why not just walk everyday? Running is bad on the knees, and research shows that walking is almost equal to running for boosting metabolism and promoting general cardio health. Walk briskly for 20-30 minutes. Maybe with a friend. Walk through some architecturally interesting neighborhoods.
Or if you want an intense workout, swim!
And remember — once you lose the weight, you have to maintain it. Keep your stomach small. Keep enjoying tea. Keep enjoying walking. Keep ENJOYING healthy food. Make it all about feeling good and healthy and enjoying life. It’s not drudgery. It’s about feeling good.
And check in on a scale a few times a week to keep yourself level. I hide any weight gain very well, and as I hadn’t been weighing myself regularly, I’d gained 20 pounds without realizing it till finally noticing the difference, stepping on a scale, and — "CRAP! Now I have to lose 20 pounds!"
Good luck!

Hi,
I’ve tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don’t work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That’s why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.ezunderstand.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 6.99$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!
