I would see a dietitian and a personal trainer and or physical therapist. With the amount of weight loss the skin will not go away. Have you check with your insurance co. to see if can be covered as a health issue more than cosmetic.
References :
Weight loss..... how much is too much?
I had been taking Prednisone for YEARS as a part of my Dr's arthritis regimine for me. In January of '05 I took myself off of it cold turkey (no, you should NOT do this without consulting a Dr) and in the past 17 months I have lost a total of 80+ lbs. (I am a 5'6" tall female, just had my 50th birthday). My question really is...how much is too much? I have loose skin on my upper arms, abdomen, chest, thighs. I don't THINK this loose skin can be exercised away...does anyone know? I have severe Rheumatoid arthritis, am on Disability, and definitely can't afford plastic surgery.

Because of my arthritis, I do little to no exercise. (My left knee and right elbow are 'contracted' - those limbs are bent and won't straighten without joint replacement). No exercise means very little muscle mass under the skin. I've been told I look skinny in the neck and shoulders (and I'm down to 133 lbs. Sz 8 from a sz 16). What can I do to build muscle & not hurt myself?
