Which is more important for weight loss: diet or exercise?

When lose weight, is it better to just eat normal and exercise? Or is it better to go on a low calorie diet and exercise?

I’ve recently heard that Diet isn’t neccessarily guarenteed to give you weight loss, but exercise will.

If you choose the right foods without excessive fat content you can eat most anything you want. Portion size is the key along with an exercise program.

    It is defiantly a combination of the two, you need them both. I have been on a diet of both calorie reduction and exercise since January and so far I have lost 65 pounds but it has been both diet and exercise that has made it successful.

    In order to lose weight your energy expenditure must be greater than your energy intake.

    So a combination of exercise and calorie reduction works best.

    However if you only have a very few pound to take off, exercise alone will do the job.

    I advocate a slight reduction in calories and a gradual increase in activity levels. Remember that you do not need to go to a gym or a pool to be active. A slow and steady weight loss is better for your health and will not alter your metabolism. Once you have taken off the pounds you will have developed habits that will help you maintain your ideal/ better weight.

    In order to take off a great deal of weight … you need to stick with the program. Restricking calories a great deal becomes a sure way to fail. One advantage of being active is that you build muscle. Muscles help you burn calories at a higher rate.

    Loosing weight is not achieved by missing meals, following fad diets, or relying on a fat burner alone. Infact, avoiding meals on purposes is probably one of the worse things you can do in terms of weight loss. The fundamentals are really simple, seriously.     3.Keep it simple. Don’t get too caught up on the specifics or your diet. Start by simply just counting calories.

    4.Eat your foods slower.

    5.Make healthier food selections like fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals, and beans, low-fat or nonfat dairy products, low fat meats, fish and skinless poultry.

    6.Avoid foods that are high in fat and calories.

    7.Avoid foods that are high in sugars such as pastries, candy bars, pies and candy.

    8.Use a variety of fruits and vegetables in your nutrition plan. Start by trying to eat 5 total vegetable and fruit servings every single day.
