(diet and fitness) is it ok to go on a 3 day water fast?
Its only 3 days.
Water fast… -it means il consume only water
Yes a 3 day fast is safe as long as you research it and do it properly. You have to prepare to go into a fast and then you have to prepare to come out of a fast. That’s all I really know about it. It’s not just something you up and decide to do one day! I have a friend who did a 40 day fast! I have no idea how she did it, but don’t do it to lose weight, it won’t work. The purpose of a fast is to detox your body. Good luck if you decide to go through with it, but please do some research first to make it as safe as possible. Also you HAVE to drink lots and lots of water if fasting. You can not go without water. The way I read your question is consuming water and nothing else right?

Not a good idea. Trust me…you can only last about 3 days, give or take. Weight loss due to water loss just comes back the instant you drink some more water anyway. Sweating out or fasting excess water weight is never a good idea, for any reason.

Do you mean that you will go for three days without water? Or go for three days without food, but drink plenty of water?
I fast one day a week and think that it does me good. Once I went 28 days eating nothing but fruit and raw vegetables. I was jumping out of my skin I felt that good. Terrible cravings for big macs though.

it’s alright if you’re on the hospital and you have a dextrose.
it’s not a good idea to only drink water.
try drinking juices or just eating fruits for meals or even granola bars.
but if you only want water, do it. but if you can’t already take it eat already!

for weight loss it wuld be better to do a 3 day protein fast. eat only protein as its harder for ur body to digest all tht protein. so ur body is less likely to hold onto it and store it as fat.

Don’t do it! Ok if you go 3 days with out water you’ll die. If you go 3 weeks without food (but you have liquids to drink) you’ll also die. The longest you can go without food and not have any side effects is about a day or a day and a half. But if I were you I would go to this website: WebMD.com and type in dieting or something like that. It’ll give you the right answers you need for what you need to know. Sigh…lot of typing! LoL! Hope I helped! Good luck!
