Low-Carb Diet Help Please….What shall I Eat Instead?
I’m thinking of going on a low-carb Diet, So I can loose weight quicker. But I’m not sure what things I can replace the carbs with, because breakfast is mainly carbs e.g. Toast and Cereal and then there are so many other dishes containing carbs which would be difficult to replace.
Give me some suggestions of what to eat instead please!! BTW I’m a Vegetarian, so I don’t eat any meat or fish.
I am on a low carb/low sugar diet because my body doesn’t regulate my blood sugar levels properly and it causes headaches and dizzy spells… it was hard at first to adjust to it, but the most important thing is to eat a lot of protein, and a good amount of *healthy* fats. I am allergic to wheat, beef, eggs and dairy, so breakfast is my most difficult meal, but I make a protein smoothie with soy milk, soy protein powder, frozen fruit and peanut butter every morning and LOVE it! As a vegetarian, I would suggest eating lots of beans since they’re high in protein, fiber and other nutrients. Also, cheese and greek yogurt are good sources of protein, healthy fat and calcium.

You do NOT need to go on a low carbohydrate diet to lose weight! You simply need to expend more energy than you intake by eating. A low carb diet is a fad diet and 99% of these diets do not make people permanently lose weight. Do cardio and some weights 5 times a week, have smaller portions of food. Its not complicated - it just takes some willpower to get started.

bad, bad, bad.
what you need is a BALANCED diet. if you miss out on carbs, or on protein (which requires meat) then you will be very unhealthy.
You should go to a nutritionist who will help you do that.
just read your labels right:
on these 4 items, you can eat the item it they are from 0-5% on their daily value, and it is acceptable (but not reccomended) if from 5-10%: carbs, sodium, saturated fat and cholesterol.
Avoid trans fat.
For sugars, they don’t haev a daily value, so try to see it through the eyes of common sense. Imagine a 50g pack of sugar, and how much you’re eating from that, and wether you really think it’s healthy to eat that much. Ex.: 25 g of sugar, half the pack. Not healthy.
also eat lots of fruits
ps. vegetarians are some of the most unhealthy people. ive seen vegetarians having to inject protein. not cool. :/
