Please help! I keep drifting away from my diet…can someone give me tips or advice?

I had originally given myself 1300 calories, as long as I did 15 minutes of cardio each day but I keep eating more than I’m even hungry for! After I eat dinner, I am full, then I go and eat another hot dog or something! Does anyone have any tips or good advice as to STOP this nonsense???
thanks

It might be a good idea to eat MORE times during the day, rather than fewer. Often what Dieters do is they try to reduce the amount they eat by only eating two or three times a day, and this actually tends to backfire–by the time you get to the evening, your body has had hunger building up throughout the day, so it’s driven to eat even after your stomach is full.

What I like to do whenever I can is eat small amounts throughout the day. If you don’t let your body build up a lot of hunger, it will eat only what it needs. If you deprive it for many hours, on the other hand, when you do let yourself eat your body will overcompensate for the calories it’s been lacking throughout the day.

Veggie-based snacks like crackers and hummus, celery, apples, etc. are great for snacking because they contain fiber and water, which help you feel full (as well as being really good for you), and they contain almost no saturated fat (which is the kind that really sticks to you). Don’t be afraid to throw some cheese, peanut butter, salad dressing, etc. in there. As with the issue of meal spacing, your body will crave fats and sugars less if you spread them out rather than if you try to go completely fat-and-sugar free and let the cravings build up.

The key is listening to your body. One of the main reasons for overeating is people getting stressed out and not listening to what their body’s saying–often they keep eating because they’re not actually giving their body the right food or method of stress relief.

One thing that I like to do is cut food into tiny pieces so you feel like you’re eating more when you really did nothing different.

i read that when you get a craving just picture that food in your head, close your eyes, and pinch your index fingers really hard against your thumbs. then think of something totally disgusting like if someone just came along and threw up on the hotdog or something. your craving should go away. lol
but really im not joking this is supposed to work. i hope it does. :)
