will a low carb diet help me to lose the fastest? Can I still eat fruit?

Actually, of the 3 macronutrients, CARBS is the only one you CAN live without. That’s why there are "essential" amino acids (protein) and "essential" fats. But nobody can ever name you ONE "essential" carbohydrate. Because they aren’t "essential" for human life. Why not? Because carbs (glucose) is the ONLY one of the three (carbs, proteins and fats) that our body CAN produce if needed. It creates glucose from our muscles through a process called "gluconeogenesis".

Anywho. Low carb Diets work. They aren’t the only way to lose fat but 75% of the population do very well on them. IF they design them correctly. Big if.

Can you eat fruit on them? Well, it depends how you design your low carb diet. Some people use 100 grams per day (fruits are okay). Others only use 50 grams per day (again, fruits are okay as long as you stay under 50 grams. Which is not a lot.)

    No the best way is to eat healthy and cut out refined sugars like High Fructose Corn Syrup and white sugar. You actually need carbs to live! So only eat as many carps as you think you will need to get you through the day, and eat protein. Yes fruit has carbs, but so does bread and candy and vegetables so yes please eat fruit.
