Will diet pills help me lose weight in my belly?

I’m a 17 year old female and I just want to lose weight in my belly, will Diet pills do the trick?

Don’t be a typical American and try to use a pill to fix it. Go for a god damned run, it’s not that hard. I’m not trying to be rude, but seriously. If you want to lose some weight, go and work for it, earn it, like every other thin person does.

    No.

There is no safe diet pill anywhere. Even the safest ones available are very bad for your heart. They increase your heart rate and your body temperature and your heart just can’t handle it for prolonged periods of time.

Exercise and good nutrition is best.

Try finding some ab workouts on YouTube. Do lots of cardio to lose weight, then do specific ab workouts for toning the muscles.Try bellydancing… that is fantastic for toning your belly.

The answer is yes and no. Most diet pills suppress your appetite, increase your resting heart rate, increase your body temperature, or change the way nutrients are digested and or absorbed. Some pills offer a combination of these effects, and others just one effect on the body. Understand you can not spot reduce fat from the body. Meaning you can’t just lose that fat in only your abdominals. Most likely, and more realistically, when you are losing weight (fat, muscle, water) it will come off in other areas of your body as well. Such as your arms, thighs, butt, back, face, etc.

The only way you will lose weight is to put your body into a caloric deficit. Meaning you have to burn more energy (calories) than you are taking in. You need to really think about changing your diet (and I don’t mean get on one, I mean eat a diet consiting of more healthy foods) along with cardio and strength training.

Note*–some bone head told you not to eat. They are quite stupid and very wrong. You must eat, even when cutting calories, your body needs sufficient calories for nourishment, otherwise when you starve yourself you cause your body to store fat b/c it thinks you are not going to get food again, Quite counter productive huh? Be wise and eat, but do so moderately and healthy. This same person also said to do a bunch of crunches. That would be beneficial for you to include, but is not the way to a flat stomach. It will help strengthen your core and develop your abdominal muscles. but if they are covered in fat, you will only be pushing your stomach out more, even though your abs are getting stronger…so an ab routine combined with a healthy diet and cardio would be fantastic!

Once you begin eating better and exercising regularly…if you decide to use diet pills, understand they are SUPPLEMENTS. That means they are used to supplement a training regiment already being implemented, NOT be the sole foundation of your training which for you is weight loss. Diet pills are not magic pills…they are aids….SUPPLEMENTS.

Be aware that most diets(crash diets) with or without diet pills are for quick reductions in body weight…and while some people do lose weight, many times once they reach there goal, they return to their old habits and regain the weight.

Last thing for you. Not all weight is created equal. Quick weight loss usually means burning off muscle first and then moving on to fat. So even though the number on the scale is going down, in this scenario, a person is losing way less fat than they think, and that is not healthy, or smart, and detracts from the muscular and lean look most individuals are trying to achieve.

In the end the choice is yours, diet pills are not the answer alone. For some people they can help, but do lots of research before ingesting anything. Read reviews, understand the risks and how they will likely react to your body. Don’t take more than the recommended dose, and it would be wise to start lower than the recommended dose in order to asses your tolerance in order to minimize any side effects you may experience.

I hope this information gives you some guidance in the right direction. Good luck..

I found an online program that is a great balance of meals and real foods. It gives you easy to follow guidelines and ensures you’re eating enough calories so you’re not starving yourself. I also loved that it included a supplement that wasn’t a medication, but controlled my hunger by expanding in the stomach and acting as a filler so you couldn’t over eat. It also includes a natural fat burner. One person I know lost 3" from their waist on the program and 10lbs in 28 days.
