I don't know how over weight you are or how desperately you need to loose weight, but focus on feeling and looking fit, healthy and awesome. 

Your diet needs to be nutritious.. if you are determined, look into it, look on line, books, magazines... 
exercise... is your choice, you choose the workout that suits you best... and stick to it, I recommend mornings because they build up your metabolism faster. 
If you are unsure... look into it, experiment, and find out what suits you most, as long as you're being smart and making right decisions... nothing should lead you to a failure. 
My own personal experience of loosing weight has made me so much smarter in the field of health and nutrition. You will have ups and downs but going through all that time to find the best workout for you and best diet for your body is all worth it.
